Job Description:
As an HR Partner, you will enhance our HR department's functionality by managing a range of human resources activities including employee relations, new hire onboarding, training and development, safety and risk management, with a particular emphasis on learning and development and leadership training initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Internal Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with business and department leaders to understand organizational goals, align HR strategies with business objectives, and provide proactive guidance on workforce planning, employee engagement, and talent development initiatives
- Recruitment and Hiring: Oversee the recruitment process from job posting to hiring, collaborating closely with department managers to identify required skills and competencies for job openings.
- Onboarding and Employee Recognition: Manage and execute comprehensive new hire orientation and robust employee recognition programs to enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Culture and Engagement: Champion organizational culture by reinforcing company values and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace environment. Lead efforts to measure and improve employee engagement through surveys, focus groups, and actionable follow-ups.
- Learning and Development: Collaborate on the design and execution of learning programs and initiatives that address company needs and employee skills gaps. Focus on leadership development programs to prepare high-potential employees for future leadership roles.
- HR Program Administration: Administer HR-related programs including leave management, disciplinary actions, disputes, investigations, performance and talent management, and more.
- Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, escalating complex issues to appropriate senior staff. Participate actively in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Compliance and Training Management: Manage compliance with mandatory and elective training, continuing education, and certifications, including safety training, anti-harassment training, and professional development
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, staying informed about best practices and regulatory changes.
- Collaboration with offsite centralized Benefits and Payroll: Coordinate with the payroll department to ensure accurate communication of changes in pay, benefits, and deductions.
- Miscellaneous Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned to support the HR department.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- 5 years’ experience in human resource management, with a preference for candidates holding SHRM-CP or PHR certifications.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The physical demands of the role involve prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and engaging in repetitive hand movements for tasks like typing or writing. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting objects up to 20 pounds may be required. This role may also include frequent use of standard office equipment such as printers, copiers, and telephones. Good vision and hearing are needed to perform tasks effectively and communicate with team members.
The work environment for this role is primarily an office setting located near a manufacturing facility. While the office is climate-controlled and typically quiet, occasional exposure to noise, vibrations, or odors from the nearby production area may occur. Employees may need to enter the manufacturing floor occasionally, requiring adherence to safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
