Job Description:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Startup and shut down machine as recommended by bystronics
- Operate overhead style crane
- Operate machine in such a manner to meet Hawkeye quality standards
- Operate machine in both a safe and productive manner
- Perform required preventative maintenance
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with CNC laser
- Certified crane operator
- Certified fork truck operator
- Ability to operate hand torch
- Thorough understanding of material locations in laser dept.
- Ability to multi-task meaning operate machine while completing task such as programming and/or review/prepare setups for upcoming jobs
- Take personal ownership and pride of quality work in the department.
- Have good housekeeping habits and strict adherence to safety.
- Ability to comply with all work-related deadlines and work overtime when required by the situation.
- Willing to assist in other areas as needed.
- Strong verbal and written interpersonal/communication skills required
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting priorities
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Works in a plant/manufacturing environment that involves the use of industrial machinery and chemicals. Employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at the location.
