When you join Design Group as a Project Coordinator, you are joining a team that will challenge you and position you for growth. In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world’s leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will join our Architecture/Engineering/Construction team and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.
What You’ll Do
Support engineering project teams as they complete and submit design projects for our external clients. You will communicate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Project Team members, vendors, and other support teams, to reach the goals of the client.
- Work with the engineering project team to deliver completed design documents as quickly, consistently, and accurately as possible prior to the required deadline.
- Become skilled at using ProCore (project management software) to support the firm’s documentation / communication processes.
- Report on project statuses to the project team
- Support and coordinate activities/processes associated with ProCore, for both local and regional projects.
- Provide document control support to prepare, edit, proof and pdf final documents to be stored in the project documents tool within Procore.
- Coordinate the documentation and issuance of transmittals/covers, drawings, specifications, and tables of contents via the Procore software system
- Assist in submitting bid packages via the Procore software system
- Receive, log, and submit RFIs; communicate final RFI responses to the project team
- Set-up bidders with the necessary bid project permissions
- Provide procurement support and coordination to the project teams during the development, input, and approval routing process
- Assist with general administrative support tasks including making travel arrangements and completing onboarding activities
- Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team
What You’ll Bring
- 5 years of administrative or project coordinator work experience, preferably supporting engineering and construction teams
- The ability to work in a team setting and independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The desire to perform tasks with accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs and expertise in web-based applications
- Experience with Procore or other project management software (preferred)
- Willingness to travel as necessary for project requirements including project installation and start-up activities, client and company sponsored meetings or training
- Willingness to work "in the office" daily at our Alpharetta, GA location
- An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, communications, or a related field (preferred)
