This is a truck mechanic position responsible for repairing, servicing, adjusting, testing, and maintaining refrigerated commercial tractor trailers, straight trucks and box trucks for a food distribution center.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete preventive maintenance on Thermoking and Carrier refrigeration units.
- Perform refrigeration system diagnosis and repair.
- Refrigeration component overhaul and replacement.
- Electrical system diagnosis and repair.
- Electronic control system diagnosis and repair.
- Refrigeration unit removal and installation.
- Preventive Maintenance
- Cranking and Charging
- Repairing and testing Air Brakes
- Replacing Tires and wheels
- Using Service Bay Diagnostic Tools
- Repairing Liftgates and other parts of the truck and trailer using welding tools
- Using Bendix Air and ABS Systems
- Conducting vehicle alignment
- Attend road calls while driving a company vehicle or truck.
