Job Summary:
Under direct/general supervision, participates in direct patient care during office visits, in-office procedures and the post-operative period for Ophthalmology patients. Supports management to facilitate the day-to-day flow of the practice.
Minimum Qualifications for the Job:
Education: Completion of an accredited ophthalmic technician program.
OR
Experience: One (1) year of experience working in an Optometry office which included performing direct patient care.
OR
Experience: Two (2) years of experience working in a medical office or practice performing direct patient care, preferably in optometry.
License(s): None
Certification(s): Basic Life Support (BLS) within six (6) months of hire. Certification as Certified Ophthalmic Technician preferred.
Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms.
External Hires: This position starts at $25.52 hourly. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based upon relevant experience.

All new employees are required to produce negative drug screen prior to start of employment. Bartlett Regional Hospital does not drug test for Marijuana use.
