Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide comprehensive pediatric care for patients from newborn to 18 years old
- Conduct well and sick visits, including physicals and follow-ups
- Diagnose and treat common pediatric conditions such as cold, cough, and flu
- Manage asthma treatment plans and provide necessary interventions
- Perform occasional suture removal as needed
- Review and interpret patient histories and physical examination results
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Collaborate with medical assistants who prepare patient notes and administer vaccines
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using eClinicalWorks EHR system
- Adhere to all practice policies, procedures, and safety protocols
- Ensure patient and family comfort and satisfaction throughout visits
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in pediatric care
Additional Information:
- Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Connecticut
- Experience with eClinicalWorks electronic health record system preferred
- Strong clinical skills in pediatric primary care
