Director of Sales – Build & Lead a High-Performance Team

As we continue to scale, we are seeking a Director of Sales who can implement a structured, consultative sales strategy, develop a high-performing team, and create a culture of accountability and client success.
The Opportunity
This role is about leading a scalable, client-focused sales organization. We need a leader who can develop clear processes, accountability measures, and a consultative sales approach that ensures our clients receive the best possible solutions. You will be responsible for hiring, coaching, and developing a team that excels in both sales execution and long-term client partnerships.
What You’ll Do
Lead & Develop a High-Performance Sales Team
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of Account Executives, Sales Engineers, and Estimators.
- Develop a structured, consultative sales approach that focuses on long-term partnerships.
- Establish clear performance metrics and accountability frameworks to drive team success.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and professional growth.
Drive Sales Strategy & Execution
- Implement a repeatable, client-driven sales process tailored to business needs.
- Optimize lead generation, qualification, and deal-closing strategies.
- Develop forecasting and pipeline management systems for predictable growth.
- Align sales efforts with marketing, operations, and finance to maximize efficiency.
Expand Market Presence & Strengthen Client Relationships
- Cultivate relationships with general contractors, commercial developers, and property managers.
- Represent Barton Integration at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
- Lead contract negotiations and ensure seamless project handoffs to operations.
What We’re Looking For
- 7 years of sales leadership experience in the Security, Fire, Low Voltage, or AV integration industry.
- A track record of building and scaling sales teams with a focus on leadership over individual selling.
- Strong background in sales process development, KPI-driven management, and team coaching.
- Experience selling into construction, commercial real estate, and property management industries.
- Deep understanding of C10 contracting, RFP processes, and project-based sales cycles.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, WeSuite (WeEstimate), or similar sales/estimating platforms is a plus.
- A hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
