Experienced Flexographic Printing Press Operator – 1st Shift & 2nd Shift Available

1st Shift Schedule & Pay : 1st Shift Monday - Friday, 6 : 00 AM - 2 : 30 PM Pay : Up to $30 per hour, based on experience and mechanical aptitude

2nd Shift Schedule & Pay : Monday - Friday, 2 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM Pay : Up to $40 per hour, based on experience and mechanical aptitude

Location : Waupun, Wisconsin

Are you an experienced Printing Press Operator looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a temperature-controlled environment with a set schedule and no rotating shifts ? If you have a strong mechanical aptitude , experience with flexographic printing, and a passion for producing high-quality printed flexible packaging, we want you to join our team!

As a Flexographic Printing Press Operator , you’ll be responsible for operating advanced flexographic printing presses to produce top-quality packaging materials. We offer competitive pay, great benefits, and a work environment that supports your career growth.

What You'll Do :

Set up & Operation : Work with the prepress department to obtain job information, select anilox rolls, and set the correct color sequence. Load print cylinders into the press, set print decks, and adjust registration to ensure flawless output.
Registration & Print Quality : Adjust register eyes, verify barcodes, check dimensions, and ensure consistent print quality throughout the run, including color accuracy, registration, repeatability, and screen quality.
Work with Quality Assurance : Collaborate with the QA team to complete job approval checklists and ensure all production runs meet the highest quality standards.
Monitor Production : During each print run, closely monitor the web width, edge position, colors, registration, and other critical factors to ensure the highest quality print job.
Maintain Equipment : Help with the maintenance of the press, including assisting with the in-line lamination and slitting process, and ensure proper cleaning and upkeep of the printing equipment.
Documentation : Document production issues, including material problems, downtime, and any plate-related issues. Report problems promptly to management.
Bag & Tag : Bag and tag finished rolls as required, and retain samples for quality control purposes.
Ensure Food Safety & Quality : Follow all company food safety and quality assurance procedures. If any issues arise, escalate them to management immediately.
Other Duties : Assist with other related tasks as assigned to maintain smooth production operations.

What We’re Looking For :

Education : High School diploma or equivalent.

Mechanical Aptitude : Strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot press-related issues.

Flexographic Printing Experience : Previous experience in flexographic printing or flexible packaging is highly desired.

Attention to Detail : Ability to stay focused on quality throughout a print run, with excellent color perception (with or without corrective lenses).

Physical Stamina : Ability to sit and stand for long periods, as well as stoop, kneel, and climb ladders or stairs.

Technical Skills : Basic computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word is a plus.

Defect Detection : Knowledge and experience with defect detection systems to ensure consistent product quality.

Benefits You Can Expect :

Medical Insurance – On the first of month following 60 days of employment, employees can choose from 1 PPO plan, 2 PPO / HSA plans, and 1 HMO plan, all provided by United Healthcare.

HRA / HSA Contributions – Participants in the employer-provided medical insurance program will receive funds from company for either their HRA (for all PPO and HMO enrollees) or HSA (for all PPO / HSA enrollees). The annual amount provided to each participant is based on one’s enrollment tier per the following schedule : $1,500.00 for Employee Only coverage, $3,000.00 for Employee Spouse or Employee Child(ren), and $4,500.00 for Family coverage.

Dental Insurance – On the first of month following 60 days of employment, employees can enroll in dental insurance provided by Mutual of Omaha.

Vision Insurance – On the first of month following 60 days of employment, employees this voluntary benefit through Mutual of Omaha.

401K Plan – Plan entry date is the first of the month following 6 months of service. Company provides its employees with a 100% match up to 1% and 50% match up to 6%.

Company Paid Short Term Disability – The Short-Term Disability premium is 100% paid by Employer

Company Paid Long Term Disability – The Long-Term Disability premium is 100% paid by Employer

Life Insurance – The Basic Life premium is 100% paid by employer and is a flat $20,000 benefit for all FT, benefit eligible employees. Employees have the option to purchase additional voluntary life insurance for self, spouse, and dependent children.

Vacation / PTO : The amount of vacation / paid time off (PTO) employees receive each year starts at 80 hours (2 weeks) each year, which accrues at a rate of 1.538 hours per week, and increases with the length of employment.

6 Company Paid Holidays – Eligible after 60 days of employment.

Sick Leave – Eligible for paid sick days at the rate of 3 days (24 hours) per year after 6 months of service (prorated for per the calendar year
