What You’ll Do
As the Detailing Manager, you will:
- Lead and develop an internal detailing team while managing relationships with external detailing firms.
- Create and implement detailing standards that align with AISC, CRSI, and Barton’s Quality Assurance Manual.
- Oversee the use and optimization of detailing software, including Tekla Structures, SDS, and AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with estimators, project managers, and upper management to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct drawing reviews, issue non-conformance reports, and maintain documentation for compliance.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring:
- A degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a rebar/steel fabrication shop, with 2 years in leadership.
- Proficiency in detailing software, such as Tekla Structures, SDS, and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of AISC and CRSI standards and literature.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications or experience with 5S, Lean, or LSS methodologies
- Familiarity with construction management tools and processes.
