Responsibilities

- Supervise dietary staff and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess the dietary needs of patients.
- Oversee budgeting for the dietary department, ensuring cost-effective meal planning.
- Manage tube feeding protocols for residents requiring specialized nutrition.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal nutritional care.
- Maintain accurate records of patient assessments and dietary interventions.
- Train and mentor staff on best practices in nutrition and food service.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dietetics or a related field, preferably within an assisted living or healthcare setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes related to food service operations.
- Familiarity with care plans and patient assessment methodologies.
- Experience with tube feeding procedures is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes.
