Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Front Desk Manager to oversee the smooth and efficient operation of our hotel’s guest-facing processes and personnel. As the face of our property, you will ensure exceptional service, effective procedures, and optimized revenue generation in alignment with our company’s standards.
The Front Desk Manager is responsible for managing front desk staff, upholding operational excellence, and fostering a culture that reflects our company values and ethos.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Management:
- Handle group sales and coordinate with relevant department heads.
- Learn and implement rate management strategies and pricing.
- Build and maintain relationships with key business clients and contacts.
- Enforce sales and revenue-generating practices.
- Cross-sell services to enhance portfolio revenues.
- Interact with guests to deliver outstanding customer service while driving additional revenue opportunities.
Operational Oversight:
- Ensure seamless hotel operations by utilizing tools and human resources effectively.
- Supervise various departments to maintain high standards of comfort, service, and quality for guests.
- Address personnel issues promptly and align them with company policies.
- Uphold cleanliness and physical standards of the hotel.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Communicate organizational plans and strategies effectively to supervisors and staff.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Motivate, empower, and support staff to achieve excellence.
- Resolve challenges and maintain a drama-free work environment.
- Mentor team members to develop their skills and support their career growth.
- Ensure departmental adherence to budgets, schedules, and operational guidelines.
Accountability & Quality Assurance:
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and messages.
- Complete and oversee daily checklists to ensure operational standards are met.
- Maintain lobby cleanliness and entertainment standards.
- Adhere to group booking guidelines and deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to remain calm and exercise good judgment in stressful situations.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to delegate, set priorities, and resolve conflicts tactfully.
