JOB OVERVIEW
Contractor will support BASF coatings products at a specific OEM site
STRATEGIC IMPORTANCE:
By capturing various coatings product analysis Contractor can easily monitor key performance indicators to ensure BASF is meeting or exceeding customer performance expectations.
PURPOSE/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: :
- The Contractor supports BASF sales/technical team by tracking and analyzing various product data.
- Duties include data entry, logging, charting, and analyzing product and process characteristics and problem resolution.
- Daily use of Excel and other PC applications.
- Will also handle inventory ordering/management.
- Will escalate issues or concerns as appropriate to other BASF staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, lab, or automotive environment (at least 1-2 years).
- Team members must have good interpersonal skills, solid proficiency with basic IT tools (e.g., MS Office).
- Team members must be available to work rotating shifts, weekends (when necessary) and must be physically capable of working on feet for extensive periods of time.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESIRED:
- Paint application knowledge, paint defect recognition, basic analysis skills.
- Understanding of quality systems and concepts a plus.
- SAP expertise a plus.
- Candidate will be monitoring a paint mix room. Prior mix room experience is no longer needed, will train.
Work Schedule:
Candidate will train on 1st shift, but will move to a rotating shift schedule once trained.
Shifts rotate on average every 3 -6 months. Some OT potential (dependent on customer schedule).
Shift hours are:
1st shift: 6 AM – 2:30 PM
2nd shift: 4 PM – 12:30 AM
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
