The Seed Science Operations Field Production team is searching for a Seed Production Manager to work at our Champaign, IL site where we conduct Breeding, Trait Development & Crop Protection seed increases and field trials. As a member of the SSO Field Production team you will produce pure high-quality seed that will be used in Trait Development/Breeding field trials, Regulatory Studies & Foundation Parent seed increases for commercial launch.

- Coordinating, planning, and managing/executing soybean & corn purity seed increase requests from Breeders, Trait Development Managers & Regulatory Science Seeds & Traits managers in a timely and compliant manner.
- Maintaining proper Product Genetic Integrity and producing adequate quantities of uniform, high-quality seed that will be used for Breeding, Trait Development field trials, and Regulatory Studies.
- Assisting in coordinating, planning, and managing/executing breeding soybean purification seed increase at the Champaign site.
- Maintaining proper Product Genetic Integrity and producing adequate quantities of uniform, high-quality seed, emphasizing Trait purity and Phenotypical characteristics, this seed produced is being handed off to the breeder and supply chain for commercial variety increases.
If you have...
- BS in agronomy or related field of study with 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with crop production practices and data management
- Executing research small and large plot field increases
- Operations and maintenance of farm equipment including planters, cultivators, sprayers & harvesters
- Understand & comply with USDA requirements for working with Regulated seed
- Collaborate with Regulatory Compliance & Stewardship teams ensuring compliance & quality control for seed increases
- Ability to travel up to 15-20% domestically

Pay transparency
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $96,800 - $133,100. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
