Infrastructure Systems Administrator

We are looking for a skilled Infrastructure System Administrator to manage and support our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal system performance, security, and availability. The ideal candidate will have experience with servers, networking, virtualization, and cloud environments and be capable of diagnosing complex issues and implementing effective solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain physical and virtual server environments, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying and addressing issues.
• Administer Active Directory, group policies, file servers, and other essential network services.
• Configure and manage network devices (e.g., switches, routers, firewalls) to ensure secure and efficient communication.
• Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and failover plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
• Support virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and manage virtual machines and storage.
• Deploy and maintain cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and support hybrid cloud environments.
• Perform regular patching, updates, and vulnerability assessments to secure infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement and support technical solutions.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
• Proven experience with Windows and Linux server administration.
• Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core infrastructure services.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with network architecture, including VLANs, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and principles (e.g., TCP/IP, routing, subnetting).
• Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks.
• Experience with backup solutions, disaster recovery planning, and high-availability setups.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and experience implementing security measures.
• Proficiency in monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds) to oversee system performance.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and stay updated on emerging infrastructure technologies.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to work occasional off-hours and be on-call for critical issues.
• Physical ability to lift and rack IT equipment (up to 50 lbs.).
• Valid driver’s license (preferred).

Annual salary starting at $80,000.
