The Sourcing Coordinator supports the Sourcing Manager and is a key player in liaising with vendors and cross-functional teams, helping ensure we source product that meets business requirements for pricing, aesthetics and quality.
Responsibilities:
- The Sourcing Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Sourcing Manager on daily tasks.
- This role involves daily communication with global suppliers to place price inquiry up until PO placement.
- The Sourcing Coordinator will collaborate with various cross functional departments to understand their sourcing needs and to align with organizational goals.
- Costing seasonal styles from multiple brands directly with multiple vendors.
- Communicating with vendors regarding styles tech packs and packaging, to negotiate pricing.
- Responsible for verifying tech pack and packaging guides for styles.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions by analyzing pricing received from various vendors on multiple styles/brands.
- Product engineering efforts to build product into target costs while maintaining design integrity.
- Strong understanding of price/cost relationship of materials options and the relative impact on price/targets.
- Maintaining and updating vendor allocation for market Sampling and Costing tech pack which support vendor strategy, product elevation and cost savings opportunity.
- Assessing prospective vendors to add into our company vendor matrix.
- Creating and maintaining vendor/factory profiles in the vendor.
- Responsible for passing paperwork to sourcing assistant when vendors are ready to be added to the compliance team for audit requests.
- Create and maintain the costing logs for each brand/project throughout the different seasons.
- Able to handle data entry and spreads quickly and accurately.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Able to multitask, prioritize day-to-day responsibilities in conjunction with ad-hoc projects requiring quick turn-time.
- Tracking, passing, and reviewing development/cost engineer styles with sourcing manager prior to the due date.
- Understanding of product life cycle, from fibers through apparel manufacturing across a wide variety of apparel categories.
- Maintaining all the sourcing team’s charts, which are used daily.
- Support the PD team with creating and sending all "submit requests" to vendors.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years' of experience in sourcing, price negotiation, production, product development.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office Applications.
- Must be strategic thinker who can drive corporate initiatives while also managing day-to-day responsibilities including on-going projects.
- Hybrid: In office 2-3 days a week.
Annual salary starting at $70,000.
