As a Head Baker and Pizza Maker, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of baked goods and pizzas. This role requires a highly skilled and motivated individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of bakers and pizzaiolos to ensure efficient and effective production.
- Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to meet customer demand.
- Conduct daily inventory of ingredients and supplies to prevent shortages and overstocking.
- Train and mentor junior staff members to improve their baking and pizza-making skills.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in culinary arts preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of baking and pastry arts, including breads, cakes, and pastries.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
