We are looking for a sales and marketing expert that through direct sales, marketing, and strategic advertising can increase our branch census so we are able to help more patients in our community than ever before. This position is often the first point of contact for families in need to place a family member on hospice.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three years of health care experience and/or three years direct sales experience.
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Schedule flexibility and travel required.
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff and community partners and referral sources.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of hospice services and rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Increase branch census by meeting starts of care commensurate with company expectations and revenue goals outlined in the yearly approved budget.
- Assist in the resolving of client, family and referral partners’ concerns as necessary.
- Research and develop marketing and sales plans for expanding Auburn Crest Hospice presence.
- Generate and maximize strategic referral relationships with Physicians, Assisted Living Communities, Skilled Nursing Facilities and other appropriate sources of referral.
- Effectively articulate the mission of Auburn Crest Hospice in the interaction with current and potential partners (i.e. hospitals, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home care agencies, home health agencies, the Veteran community at large, etc.).
- Maintain records, reports, and statistics as required, submitted weekly and monthly, as specified to the General Manager.
- Develop and conduct educational outreach (i.e. disease specific associations, community forums, hospitals, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, etc.).
- Attend meetings and participate in committees as required.
- Practice exceptional customer service with current and potential hospice referral sources.
- Maintain compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and other federal and state hospice regulations and guidelines.
- Internally create, promote and participate in team building exercises, sales education, and incentive programs with all staff.
- Ensure adherence to the approved marketing budget.

- Identify opportunities to sponsor community events.
