Description
The clinical nurse manager will provide direct and indirect patient care to infusion patients and their families, utilizing the nursing processes of comprehensive patient assessment, development and implementation of nursing care plans, and on-going evaluations. The Clinical Nurse Manager will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care in accordance with the theoretical principles and scientific knowledge and within scope of the California Nurse Practice Act and applicable BASS policies. The Clinical Nurse Manger will take point on nursing assignments, supervising, training and onboarding of new and existing nurses, and supporting administrative nursing needs for infusion.
The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification, however, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level. Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.
1 Clinical Oversight- Oversees the clinical operations for all nursing clinical support activities
2 Ensures all licensing and certification criteria are met
3 Assists with the review and revision of clinical policies and procedures
4 Ensure adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinics
5 Maintains effective nursing staff coverage and operating costs for the practice and/or satellites within budgetary parameters
6 Participates in the interviewing and recruiting of nursing personnel
7 Performs tasks assigned to staff nurses as necessary
8 Demonstrates working knowledge of applicable labor laws and schedules and coordinates employee staffing including vacations, sick leave and overtime
9 Ensure clinical operations and practice consistent with organizational objectives
10 Monitors and evaluates patient satisfaction and quality assurance measures
11 Directs the correct use of charge codes and coordinates education of all staff in correct procedures per reimbursement guidelines.
12 Develops new services and activities for patients, families and staff in accordance with practice service objectives.
13 Staff Development- Implement staff retention and training programs w/ support from clinic leads
14 Coordinates, implements, and assists with staff training, in-services, and internal developmental programs for nursing staff
15 Assists with annual performance evaluations for nursing department staff
16 Serves as mentor/preceptor and provides day to day guidance to less experienced nurses
17 Oversight and travel to other infusion locations required
18 Other duties as assigned by manager
Requirements
EDUCATION / TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Unrestricted RN-Registered Nurse of California
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS / REGISTRATION:
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider upon hire
- ONS Certification REQUIRED
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years of clinical experience
- 3 years of Infusion and Oncology experience
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinics
- Participates in the interviewing and recruiting of nursing personnel
- Staff Development- Implement staff retention and training programs w/ support from clinic leads

Compensation will be based on experience
Pay Scale/Ranges:
$180,000-$200,000/annually (and the hourly equivalent for salaried employees).*
*Employees actual pay rate will depend on a host of factors including, without limitation, job location, specialty, skillset, education, and experience. The patey scale/ranges shown are representative of the pay rates for the job title reflected above, but an employees actual pay rate will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
