Front & Back Office Medical Assistant

Our gastroenterology practice is seeking full-time Front & Back Office Medical Assistant. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, where multi-tasking skills are key. You will have a high degree of responsibility and independence.

This position will consist of front and back-office duties including:

· Scheduling appointments

· Responding to patient calls

· Insurance knowledge

· Appointment Reminders

· Data entry into Electronic Health Records (EPIC)

· Scanning and faxing

· Billing

· Surgery Scheduling

Mandatory qualifications:

· Excellent customer service/interpersonal skills

· Medical terminology

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Comfort with interacting with the elderly and disabled

· Strong computer skills

· Bilingual English/Spanish

Strongly Preferred Qualifications:

· Electronic Health Records (EPIC)

Requirements:

· 1 years of Front and Back Office experience in GI practice

· Experience with surgery scheduling

· MA Certificate desired

Compensation will be based on experience.

Pay Scale/Ranges:

$15.50-$41.50/hour (and the hourly equivalent for salaried employees). *
