About the Opportunity
We are seeking an Underwriter Assistant to join our team at Bass Underwriters, Inc., a leading Managing General Agency for commercial property and casualty insurance. As an Underwriter Assistant, you will provide critical support to our Underwriters by reviewing applications, evaluating risks, creating quotes, and processing new and renewal business.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate applications to determine risk levels
- Research carrier guidelines to ensure compliance
- Interface with agents and insurance carriers to obtain necessary information
- Process and service new and renewal business in a timely and efficient manner
- Cultivate relationships with current agents to identify new business opportunities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management and Insurance, or a related field
- Strong customer orientation, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to navigate various websites and databases
