What you'll do
The Vice President, Controller, is responsible for the integrity of the financial reports, managing accounting department and ensuring compliance with compliance and financial policies and procedures. Areas of responsibility include month end and year end close, financial reporting, accounts payable, payroll accounting and property and plant and equipment accounting.
Essential job functions include:
· Produces comprehensive executive summaries and reports; presents data in effective, clear formats tailored to the needs of specific audiences including managers and staff. |
· Oversee monthly network financial close process and reporting of financial results to leaders and applicable Board of Trustee committees. |
· Translate unique attributes of sole community and critical access hospitals, into workplans and optimizing results. |
· Focus on other operating revenue sources such as 340B, third party incentives, NYS function programs to supplement information and assess opportunities for funding. |
· Oversee completion of Network Hospital IRS form 990 Schedule H. |

What we need from you
Education:
- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
- Master's Degree in Business preferred
- Experience may be considered in lieu of education
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior level accounting, required
- At least 3 years of accounting experience in an integrated delivery system preferred
- Knowledge of Strata, preferred
Licensure/Certifications:
- NYS Certified Public Accountant license preferred

Physical Requirements:

Pay Range
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.
Pay Range Minimum:
USD $193,909.28/Yr.
Pay Range Maximum:
USD $290,863.93/Yr.
