Responsibilities:
Under limited supervision by the Director Finance, the Manager Financial Planning Analysis is responsible for the training and supervision of the Financial Reporting staff. Critical thinking is essential in order to provide support and direction to Bassett Healthcare management. Assists the Director of Financial Reporting in the coordination, execution, review, and completion of the annual budget process. Ensures financial integrity within STRATA. Involved in the accurate and timely completion of proformas. Responsible for maintaining the tables within STRATA as well as participating in any system enhancements. Creates new STRATA reports and financials to assist with analysis. Maintains STRATA training materials and holds re-training classes annually.
- Provides analytics to Bassett Healthcare management to assist in the review and analysis of current and future processes
- Plans, coordinates, reviews, and completes the annual planning and quarterly forecasts
- STRATA expert in reporting and training
- Maintains STRATA security
- Develops and disseminates additional STRATA reports
- Disseminates timely and effective communication with departmental and divisional staff to keep them aware of important corporate, divisional, and departmental information and to receive information and highlights from them
- Follows up on all issues and concerns in an effective and timely manner
- Supervises others within the department and develops standards of performance in order to appraise performance and provide direction with respect to departmental responsibilities. Conducts on-time performance appraisals
- Presents data in various forums to various individuals and groups with confidence, professionalism, and forthrightness in a communication style appropriate to the situation. Is a source of information and understanding for all leaders within the network
- Supports the development of staff by developing goals and cultivating individual
- Works effectively with other divisions, affiliates, and various outside agencies to ensure operational and organizational issues are being addressed
- Is self-reliant, accomplishing goals through independent investigation, self-motivation and analytical problem-solving skills
- In conjunction with various departments throughout the organization, assists with the implementation of STRATA system changes
- Provides financial analysis and financial decision support to divisional and departmental leaders throughout the organization
- As a power user of STRATA, develops financial and operational metrics for use throughout the Bassett Network
- Develops financial models and tracking systems that support financial analysis
- Assist departments in the preparation, analysis, and completion of proformas related to proposed actions
- Acts as a back-up when the Director Finance can’t attend selected meetings
- Conducts self in a manner that is consistent with organizational values and as an example to others
- Represents the organization to both internal and external constituent groups in such a manner as to enhance the image of the corporation and to further its objectives
Education:
- 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance degree, required
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years previous STRATA experience, preferred
- Minimum 3 years hospital accounting experience, preferred
- Minimum 5 years financial planning experience, required

Physical Requirements:
