LANDSCAPING
Looking for team members to produce exceptional results in a variety of landscape projects including both hardscapes and softscapes including walls, patios, steps, walkways and a variety of planting.
Paid Weekly!
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Positive and energetic outlook; ability to work in small groups as well as be self motivated
- Accomplish tasks within work guidelines/manage time effectively but also be able to creatively problem solve
- Possess the ability to interface with clients on-site, fielding questions and concerns in a professional and respectful manner
- Valid and insurable Wisconsin Drivers License with ability to commute to the shop on Madison’s far west side
- Valid and insurable Wisconsin Commercial Drivers License would be a plus *
- Possession of or ability to obtain a Wisconsin Pesticide applicators License 3.0 (most positions)
- Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and to work a minimum of 8 hours a day in a variety of weather conditions performing physical labor. Seasonal Hours 40
- Ability to responsibly and safely operate and perform general maintenance on equipment
- Mandatory winter work consists of snow removal plow truck operators and/or snow blower/shovel crew members. On-call per event.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR LANDSCAPE POSITIONS
- One season of experience preferred but willing to train motivated applicants
- Ability to read and understand work orders and landscape plans
- Ability to take direction and motivated to work as part of a team
- Complete work in a timely, professional and safe manner and maintain a functional, neat working space while on a property
- Organize and oversee the loading/unloading of materials, equipment and tools (at the shop, at a vendor, or at the job site)
QUALIFICATIONS FOR LANDSCAPE FOREMAN POSITIONS
- Minimum of two years of practical experience in landscaping
- Have a working knowledge of landscape plants, perennials, hardscape and softscape materials
- Ability to oversee, direct, and train a landscape crew of up to 6 members (as needed)
- Manage and problem-solve projects
- Coordinate with landscape designer/manager for job information and directions
- Maintain paperwork/records to ensure timely and proper completion of all work
- Maintain the records for hours, materials, etc.
