Summary

We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate team at Bassler Veterinary Hospital. In this role, you will support veterinarians and technicians in delivering exceptional care to our furry patients while ensuring a smooth operation of the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Assist in radiology and with laboratory tests.
• Provide compassionate care to animals in the hospital.
• Help maintain hospital cleanliness.
• Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments and answering client inquiries.
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition.

Requirements

• Experience as a veterinary assistant or in a related field is preferred.
• Ability to administer medications accurately and efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Basic laboratory skills are a plus but not required.

This position is part-time, and pay is commensurate with veterinary experience. Exceptional candidates without experience may be trained on the job.
