The Systems Engineer will support the Space Force contract in Vandenberg, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Provide detailed architecture expertise ensuring compatibility with ground systems.
•Perform on-site reviews of components, logs, serial numbers, and report results.
•Critique and recommend changes to manuals, test procedures and test reports in accordance with tailored requirements.
•Attend technical interchange meetings, design reviews and review test data.
•Witness testing at the vender/lab facilities.
•Provide technical assistance to Range Users on test requirements and methodologies.
•Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED:

•This position requires US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information.
•This position requires a Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
•Must have a bachelor's degree in a technical, computer science, engineering, or other STEM-related field.
•Must have 1 years of recent and related work experience in engineering, data analysis, or related technical discipline.
•Experience using computer systems, software or tools for data analysis and manipulating data in different coordinate systems.
•Experience with Range Safety Systems (RSS) preferred.
•Must be able to operate under a timeline driven process environment and be able to solve problems.
•Ability to travel approximately six times a year throughout the Continental U.S., sometimes with limited notice
WORK LOCATION:
•This position is located onsite.
•This position may require some travel.
BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED:

All Bastion employees must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen; some contracts require participation in periodic random drug and alcohol screening programs.

•Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

•Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers.
•Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.
•Must have a strong work ethic and must be safety culture oriented.
•Must be organized with good time management skills.
•Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
•Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time).
•May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
•Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.
•Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.

SALARY RANGE:
$100,000 to $113,000, salary will depend on education and experience.
