Mechanical Technician (BT-24203)

The Mechanical Technician will support the Bastion Product development in Santa Fe, Texas. The Bastion Engineering Technician will support development activity of high-pressure hydraulic system assembly, maintenance, and testing. During deployment of the system some fieldwork will be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assemble and disassembly of Subsea hydraulic accumulator system.
• Shop process development.
• Testing system build.
• Cleaning and corrosion treatment of hydraulic system components.
• Support and maintain all shop tools and GSE.
• Facility maintenance and cleanliness.
• Other duties as assigned.

• This position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status due to the sensitivity of customer related information.
• Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent.
• Must have 3 years of recent and related work experience.
• Hydraulic system understanding.
• Basic electro/mechanical system knowledge.
• Ability to read mechanical manufacturing drawings.
• Able to lift 40lbs.
• Valid state driver's license.

DESIRED:

• Fabrication of steel structures experience.
• Forklift operator certified.
• First aid certification.
• Scuba certified.

WORK LOCATION:

• This position is located onsite in Santa Fe, TX (77510) and will also work at Bastion's corporate office in Houston, TX (77058).
• This position may require some travel.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS REQUIRED:

All Bastion employees must be able to pass a national agency check, some positions require a clearance and will require an extensive background verification/check process.

DRUG AND ALCOHOL SCREENING REQUIRED:

All Bastion employees must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen; some contracts require participation in periodic random drug and alcohol screening programs.

• Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Must have a strong work ethic and must be safety culture oriented.
• Must be organized with good time management skills.
• Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time).
• May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
• Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.
• Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
