We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Legal and Compliance Director to oversee our legal and compliance functions across the organization. Duties & Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Manage the lifecycle of contracts, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating and maintaining a centralized contract repository.
- Implement and manage legal technologies and tools to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel on legal matters, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and programs to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify compliance gaps and propose corrective actions.
- Lead training programs to promote awareness of compliance standards across the organization.
- Oversee vendor management processes, including onboarding, due diligence, and performance evaluations.
- Negotiate vendor contracts and service-level agreements (SLAs) to mitigate risks and ensure favorable terms.
- Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and other departments to align legal and compliance strategies with organizational goals.
Additional Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize the departments budget and resources.
- Stay up to date on regulatory changes and communicate their impact to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure vendors comply with contractual obligations and organizational policies.
- Act as a liaison between the legal and compliance teams and external regulatory bodies or auditors.
- Completes other assigned duties as requested.
Requirements

Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field. A JD, MBA, or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
- 5 years experience in legal operations, compliance management, or a related role.
- Proficiency in legal technology tools (e.g., contract management systems, compliance software).
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance, compliance regulations, and contract management.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams and with external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
