The Accounts Payable (AP) Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the AP department. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Manage and guide the AP team, including training, and performance evaluations.
- Set clear goals and expectations for team members.
- Promote a positive work environment and further teamwork.
- Invoice Processing:
- Review and approve invoices for accuracy, proper coding, and adherence to company policies.
- Ensure timely entry of invoices into the accounting system.
- Resolve discrepancies and exceptions promptly.
- Payment Processing:
- Coordinate payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers) according to payment terms.
- Prioritize payments based on due dates.
- Month-End Close:
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Reconcile AP accounts and help to prepare accruals.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline AP processes and enhance efficiency.
- Implement best practices and automation tools.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
- Vendor Management:
