What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Manager position at Bath Saver, Inc. dba Bath Fitter?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of this position is to direct the day-to-day activities of loss prevention, risk management, safety/security, and property management by recommending and implementing programs which contribute to profitability.
1. Recruits, trains, and evaluates Facilities staff (if needed).
2. Directs and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the Facilities department.
3. Develops Facility Administration standards for cleaning, repair, and maintenance of the facilities.
• Contract negotiation and tracking
• Prepares pertinent records and reports
4. Makes sure all lease negotiations are handled before the renewal action date.
5. Approves invoices for all goods and services required to maintain the properties.
6. Forecasts and manages replacement of major capital expenses needed for the facilities.
• Manages forklift repair database
7. Facilities Safety Manager: Implements proper risk management and safety measures for the facilities.
• Ensures compliance and complies with OSHA Standards and all Federal and State regulations. Including, but not limited to:
• Hazard Communication
• Control of Hazardous Energy - Lockout/Tagout
• Powered Industrial Trucks
• Fall Protection – Training Requirements
• Machine Guarding– General Requirement
• Personal Protective and Lifesaving Equipment
2. Acts as liaison with insurance carriers in all general liability claims.
3. Serves as back up to the Fleet and the Facility Administrators in their absence.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
1. Travels to other offices when necessary.
2. Performs other job-related duties as assigned to meet business needs.
ABILITIES AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Excellent time management and organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
· Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
· Demonstrate competency with computers & other electronic office/business equipment.
EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree or related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be at least 21 years of age.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
Must have a valid state driver’s license, insurance, and have an excellent safety record.
