POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of this position is to evaluate, approve, and order all materials needed for jobs and services using Navision software while maintaining and adjusting the inventory levels and producing reports for upper management regarding company inventory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Evaluates, creates, and approves vendors and authorizes purchase orders for goods and services.
- Places orders with company and local vendors.
- Configures and orders material to supply jobs and services using Navision software.
- Works closely with the warehouse personnel.
- Adjusts inventory levels in warehouses based on turns and demands.
- Runs reports in Navision and performs inventory analysis.
- Adds new part numbers and descriptions for each new product.
- Traces overdue and backordered components and revises new delivery dates.
- Evaluates supplier performance and compiles summary reports for upper management.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Complies with all safety policies and procedures.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned to meet business needs.
EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Associates degree or related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be at least 21 years of age.
