JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to manage financial reporting, bookkeeping, and accounts payable. This role will be integral in maintaining our financial health, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with both internal teams and external partners. You will report to co-founder Travis Talmadge working 5 days a week out of our Soho office.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all financial reporting, bookkeeping, and general ledger management.
- Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Work closely with external accountants to support tax filings and compliance.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Identify process improvements to enhance financial efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies.
- Collaborate with leadership on financial strategy and reporting needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks & NetSuite)
- Critical thinking—ability to identify inefficiencies, anticipate potential risks, and implement solutions that enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
- Experience in the hospitality or service industry is a plus but not required.
- CPA or working toward CPA certification is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100-115k base salary
Reports to: Travis Talmadge (Co-Founder)
