Spa Attendant

Job Summary

Provide effective and efficient customer service for guests obtaining mud baths. Maintaining common areas of the spa, supporting the massage therapists and spa desk reservations. Being an integral team member in the operation of the Company.

Responsibilities and Duties

Prep mud baths and work station prior to the first baths. Greet guests and escort them through the complete mud and mineral bath experience. Prepare and maintain mud baths throughout one's scheduled shift. Fill and mix mud efficiently according to established specifications. Maintain linens, stock supplies, clean mud bath rooms, restrooms, and prep room.

Working conditions:

Most tasks are performed indoors and some outdoors

Temperature is a mixture of moderate and extreme

Qualifications and Skills

Qualifications:

Essential:

Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and coworkers.

Ability to work in an environment infused with a variety of scents, geothermal water, volcanic ash and peat moss.

Must be available to work weekends.

Desirable:

High School graduate or equivalent

Previous customer service experience

• Ability to perform basic math

Physical demands: Ability to regularly lift and/or move 20 lbs; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs

• Ability to stir mud by moving, pushing and pulling a hoe through a tub of mud
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform 8 hours of spa service per day
• Ability to balance and prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or varied surfaces
• Ability to do the following actions without limitations: bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, reaching with hands and arms, reaching overhead, manual dexterity, speaking, hearing and seeing (including close and distant vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus)
