We are seeking a strategic Head of Experience to lead the team responsible for shaping and designing how our users experience Baton. This role will be responsible for shaping the complete user experience on our platform for both buyers and sellers. This leader will oversee all elements that contribute to the user journey, ensuring consistency and excellence across product design, brand, and communication.
As Head of Experience, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a seamless and engaging user experience across all touchpoints. You will bring a deep understanding of user-centered design, customer behavior, and product strategy to elevate Baton’s platform and contribute to our mission of transforming the small business market.

On a day-to-day basis, you will...
- Define and lead Baton’s user experience across product, brand, product management, and copy.
- Shape the marketplace experience to align with business goals and user needs.
- Work with peers to drive user engagement, growth, and conversion through the customer lifecycle.
- Mentor and lead a cross-functional team of designers, product managers, and copywriters.
- Develop user experience standards for consistency across products and communications.
- Leverage user research to optimize the experience continuously.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, and support to ensure a smooth user journey.
- Drive product vision execution, balancing buyer and seller needs.
- Communicate strategies to leadership, showcasing the value of user-focused design.
- Proven experience in a senior leadership role overseeing Product, Design, and/or Brand functions, preferably at the Head/Director level or higher.
- Demonstrated expertise in user experience design, product management, and brand strategy within a digital platform or marketplace.
- Strong portfolio showcasing successful projects that integrate design, product management, and copywriting to create a cohesive user experience.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and familiarity with Agile product management methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a passion for creating user-first products.
- Experience in a two-sided marketplace or platform business is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- A passion for supporting small business owners and improving the process of buying and selling businesses.

Salary : $200,000 - $250,000
