Computer Systems Administration Analyst

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Computer Systems Administration Analyst to work in our Data Center department. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our IAB facility with every other Friday off. You will report to the department manager.

Oversee administration of laboratory computer software systems, e.g., human resources, property management, financial systems, procurement, engineering. Support needs of the programming staff, prioritize service requests, develop, and recommend solutions to system needs, and resolve conflicts and problems that occur between end-users. Manage system access and ensure system availability for process needs.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide security system administration in assigned area of expertise.

• Support assigned networks, multiple individual workstations, equipment and software maintenance and upgrades.

• Responsible for problem identification, mitigation, and resolution in server hardware, operating systems; and system hardware and configuration.

• Ensure system and data integrity by evaluating system controls and assuring compliance with established Company access controls and computer security procedures.

• Evaluate complex system interface data on a daily, weekly, and monthly interval to ensure system processing functions correctly.

• Ensure all assigned activities are performed in a secure manner and observing applicable laboratory excellence procedures, within safety authorizations, following security plans and requirements, observing environmental permits and in full compliance with Laboratory, state, federal policies, procedures, directives and regulations.

• Apply professional concepts in providing complex operational (i.e., production level) technical support and maintenance related to existing and latest enterprise level information technology systems.

• Responsible for system maintenance, web server application management, enterprise data storage administration, and multi-factor authentication processes.

• Select methods and techniques to implement innovative solutions associated with enterprise system performance requirements.

• Provide technical reviews and input related to these IT system performance requirements, system level, and security procedures.

• Coordination functional subject matter experts and programming development to ensure clear communication of requirements and functionality.

• Responsible for software quality assurance and maintaining the appropriate quality training.

• Provision new equipment following industry best practice, vendor recommendations, and organizational needs.

• Provide technical leadership and review of less experienced IT technical staff and contribute to senior staff as the project/effort dictates.

Minimum Requirements:

• Level 3: Baccalaureate in related field (i.e., Information Systems) and 5 years of relevant experience; or Masters and 2 years of relevant experience; or in lieu of degree 11 years of relevant experience.

• Level 4: Baccalaureate in related field (i.e., Information Systems) and 9 years of relevant experience; or Masters and 6 years of relevant experience; or in lieu of degree 15 years of relevant experience.

• Relevant experience in Information Systems Administration.

• This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.

• Microsoft T-SQL Certification, Oracle PL/SQL Certification, Comp TIA A , CompTIA Network , Comp TIA.

• Security , Microsoft Server Certification, ServiceNow Certification are desirable.

• Experience in administration of NAS, SAN and HCI.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Advanced Degree and 3 years' experience, or equivalent experience.

Job Information:

• The pay range for this position is: Level 3: ($75,804 - $155,496) / Level 4: ($91,008 - $186,588). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
