In this paid internship You will support the Zero Trust Industrial Internet of Things (ZT-IIoT) project by creating and testing cyber protection measures and metrics in a physical test bed in Idaho Falls. You will analyze codified attack surfaces and defense concepts for operational impact and effectiveness. Tasks include creating and testing cyber defenses, collecting and analyzing test data, and testing prototype applications. You will learn Structure Threat Information Expression (STIX), graph databases, data collection scripting, Jupyter notebooks, network analysis, embedded systems, machine learning for data analysis, cyber defenses, and attack methods. Reporting to the Infrastructure Security group. This team works a 9x80 schedule, and works onsite at our Idaho Falls campus. Start date and duration of internship vary based on project and student availability. You may be eligible for course credit for this internship if approved by your university.
Minimum Requirements:

Undergraduate Degree Program/Masters Degree Program/Doctorate Degree Program enrolled full time at an accredited college/university studying Math, Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Power, or Computer Engineer, Cyber Security, Data Science, Information Science or related field

Compensation and Benefits:

Undergraduate Internships ($25.65/hour - $30.70/hour)

Masters Internships and PhD Internships Pre-Candidacy ($31.75/hour - $34.06/hour)

PhD Internships Post-Candidacy ($33.75/hour - $36.06/hour)
