Job Summary
Battelle seeking a Financial Analyst within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This position location is in Columbus, OH. Works as part of the FP&A team providing financial support to multiple groups within the organization. Primary activities include Business Partnership and Advisor, Business Financial Services, and Compliance and Governance. Independently applies knowledge to complete assignments within extremely tight and strict schedules.

Responsibilities
BUSINESS PARTNER/ADVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- With limited direction, assists Battelle leadership with planning, forecasting & financial analysis for respective functional areas
- Drive the annual planning and quarterly forecasting processes for Battelle, including both operations and functional support groups
- Analyze and communicate financial information to management in a concise and effective manner to help drive fiscally sound financial decisions
- Aid in the development and automation of monthly reporting for corporate departments
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis to the business on an ongoing basis
- Works independently with Project and Finance Management to help identify and mitigate business risk and helps supports Project and Finance Management with ensuring compliance with Government Contracting regulations and contractual terms
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance; two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in a related field
- Finance, accounting or auditing experience at a mid- to large size US government contractor, including knowledge of regulatory requirements including FAR and DFARS, is preferred
