Job Summary
The Records Management team within the Office of the General Counsel is currently seeking a Records Management Intern. The position is onsite in Columbus, Ohio and a part or full-time intern will be considered. The Records Management Intern will assist in the management of Battelle’s enterprise records under direct guidance of our Archivist. Areas may include accession, search, retrieval, and final disposition of records; digitization of records. Work includes physical and electronic records, and items of historical significance to Battelle.

The Battelle intern and co-op program is a great way to increase experience both on a team and as an independent contributor. Ninety-eight percent of internship survey respondents said they felt better prepared to enter the workforce after their Battelle internship and 100% said they were treated with respect by their colleagues.

Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Participates in the intake of enterprise records
- Digitizes corporate records
- Contributes to the accession of enterprise records into Battelle’s records management system
- Assists with the search and retrieval of records from corporate archives
- Participates in the destruction of records pursuant to Battelle’s records retention schedule
- Supports the organization of and movement of records within records storage areas at Battelle’s campus
- Currently pursuing bachelor’s or master's degree in library or information science, English, history, or pre-law.
- Interest in records management, archives, or regulatory compliance
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to demonstrate good organization, communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills
- This position requires access to export controlled information and therefore the intern must be a U.S. Person as defined in 22 CFR 120.62.
