As an Outside Commercial Sales Representative, you will:
Maintain and grow assigned commercial sales portfolio. Provide outside sales, support, analysis and
customer service to commercial customers. Support commercial sales in our stores.
Essential Responsibilities
Commercial Sales Process:
â- Grow assigned territory in sales and new customer accounts. Manage, retain and expand commercial
customer relationships.
â- Create and execute customer action plans.
â- Generate and qualify new leads and opportunities through scheduled appointments and cold-calls.
â- Assign prospects to correct commercial portfolio.
â- Utilize sales and marketing materials in managing customer and prospect relationships.
â- Collect and validate customer email addresses to support email campaigns.
Reporting:
â- Analyze and action commercial sales and activity reports.
â- Annually prepare and submit competitor comparison analysis.
Customer Service
â- Coordinate with stores to provide customer service, order management, and delivery support
â- Provide commercial training to store teams, as needed.
â- Communicate customer and prospect information to stores.
â- Prepare, deliver and follow-up product and service proposals to customers and prospects.
â- Execute customer and prospect communication plans including telephone calls, follow up calls,
emails, thank you's, and other print communication.
â- Initiate and promote B2B ordering where appropriate.
Support:
â- Reactivate lost or inactive customers.
â- Assist accounts receivable in collection activities.
â- Maintain a strong understanding of competitors' capabilities and general market conditions.
â- Prepare special pricing and bid quotes as requested.
â- Work in a store on occasion should circumstances call for it.
Qualifications:
â- 2 years' experience in direct sales or business to business sales.
â- Working understanding of Google Suite. Strong knowledge and proficiency in Excel.
â- Experience working with and managing activities, tasks and proposals within a CRM.
â- Demonstrated strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
â- Strong attention to detail and accuracy; thorough knowledge of business plans and budgets
â- Ability to communicate using both oral and written means. Ability to make presentations to small
groups of employers, owners, or customers.
â- Must possess excellent prospecting, negotiating, follow up and closing skills.
â- Highly energetic and a self- starter.
â- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds
