What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farm and Ranch Hand position at Baty Livestock?

Duties:
- Assist with the daily care and maintenance of the barn and its surroundings
- Feed, water, and participate in show cattle activities (halter breaking, washing, blowing, etc.)
- Clean stalls and remove waste
- Assist with turnout and exercise of cattle as necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and supplies
- Assist with basic veterinary care, such as administering medications or treatments
- Operate heavy equipment for tasks such as moving hay or bedding
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including repairs to fences or structures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with cattle
- Ability to handle and control cattle safely and confidently
- Basic knowledge of cattle care, including feeding, show cattle experience, and health maintenance
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and manual labor tasks which can include lifting of upwards of 75 lbs.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Basic math skills for measuring feed or medication dosages
