We are looking for an Accounts Payable Associate for our Conroe facility.
This person would apply accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of financial and business transaction data, prepare reports to ensure accurate accounting records, and perform complex clerical and intermediate level accounting activities.
This is a full-time position and would report to the Finance Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs any combination of routine calculating, posting business transactions, processing invoices, and verifying financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records. Ensures 3-way matching when posts the invoices in B1.
- Ensures proper general ledger and cost center coding of invoices.
- Processes checks to pay invoices weekly and reimbursable employee expenses bi-monthly.
- Processes GRIR reconciliation in R3 after invoices are posted
- Reviews and posts the approved expense reports.
- Runs compliance check for the new vendors and creates new account in BI
- Posts the outgoing ACH or wire payments to AP invoices
- Maintains the filing of all AP invoices.
- Initiates, maintains and pays leases for corporate housing.
- Maintains and pays lease for property in California.
- Maintains contract for postage meter.
- Prepares accounts payable aging report.
- Performs research and special projects as directed by management.
- Knows and understands operating and technical procedures and workplace instructions.
- Carries out work assignments to the highest quality level.
- Performs various other duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor
REQUIREMENTS
1. Education and Training – High school diploma or as deemed sufficient by management.
2. Technical Requirements – Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. Able to: maintain a high level of confidentiality; apply reasoning to solve practical problems; interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagrammatic, or schedule form; multi-task in a fast paced environment and possess excellent communication skills.
3. Experience – 3-5 years of directly related training and/or experience.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, sit, kneel, crawl, see, read, hear, have the physical and mental ability to travel independently and the physical and mental ability to comply with customary workshop, office, job site work environments, safety requirements and other customary regulations and requirements in these environments.
