Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

• Receives, inspects, processes, stores and loads a variety of parts, supplies and materials.
• Maintains warehouse areas, parts inventory and warehouse equipment in a neat, clean, orderly and safe manner.
• Contributes to the design and implementation of work methods for activities, such as verification of incoming shipments, handling of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current.
• Organizes and rotates stock utilizing proper storage methods and procedures.
• Ensures that each work line is fully stocked each day to meet production needs and assembly units are in their respective locations.
• Transfers parts needed for production each day from warehouse to pre-determined location.
• Verifies incoming receipts and packing slips against purchase orders to ensure accuracy, perform, and report damages, shortages and discrepancies.
• Enters and maintains records in SAP in relation to inventory.
• Performs periodic inventory counts alongside production scheduler; recommends items for re-order to maintain necessary materials and supplies on hand.
• Operates material handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, hand carts, etc.
• Proactively participates in design, methods and processes for more efficient use of warehouse space and movement of parts to production lines.
• Lift and move heavy items/packages as required.
• Assists in production operations as needed to ensure customer orders are met.
• Proactively participates in continuous improvement and safety initiatives, ensuring he/she leads by example and demonstrates initiative, positivity, and safe practices.
• Assists in inspections of physical condition of warehouse and equipment, recommends repairs and/or replacement of equipment.
• Will be assigned as needed to various shipping department tasks to facilitate cross training and to cover daily needs.
• Must be able to work overtime as necessary.
• Performs periodic visual inspection of parts received for quality control.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and computer experience required.
• SAP or other ERP system experience is a plus.
• Ability to read, communicate and comprehend written and verbal procedures and instructions in English.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines.
• Follow all prescribed safety and housekeeping guidelines.
• Display cooperation and willingness to work where needed.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

Physical surroundings are typical of a manufacturing environment. 

• Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform routine tasks that may be repetitive at times.
• Ability to use electric equipment.
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, feel, and hold. 
• Ability to frequently walk, reach with hands at arms’ length, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to push and pull hand trucks and carts with weight up to 100 pounds.
