What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Secretary position at Bava & Associates, PC?
We are a busy , fast paced, defense workers' compensation firm looking for a Legal Secretary with good work ethics, the ability to multi-task and a good attitude. We are looking for someone that is reliable and that we can depend on. Law office experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
Work tasks include: proofreading and formatting letters, Petitions and other court documents, scheduling medical/legal evaluations, setting depositions and hearings, subpoenaing records, handling phone calls and email correspondence, organizing file documents in our paperless system, etc...The legal secretary position requires the individual to have the ability to effectively communicate with others including clients, opposing counsel, vendors, physicians’ offices, etc. , as well as the ability to pay attention to detail and be well organized.
Qualifications: Proficient with MS office, Adobe Acrobat, an average typing speed of at least 60 wpm and clear communication skills. Good grammar is a must.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
