Baxter Brewing Company is looking for a Facilities and Maintenance Technician. Job Overview
This position would be a full-time hourly position working onsite at the brewery, restaurant, and warehouse locations and requires the ability to work long days on your feet. The ideal candidate will be organized and able to prioritize and multi-task as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Development, management, and execution of a preventive maintenance schedule utilizing CMMS software in cooperation with the Director of Operations, Director of Quality, and Head Brewer.
· Compliance with, and contributions to Baxter’s safety and quality procedures and guidelines.
· Daily record keeping and visual inspection of critical systems operation including but not limited to effluent pH meter and dosing pump, air compressor systems, glycol system pumps, chillers, and glycol buffer tank levels.
· Preventive maintenance on a wide variety of brewing, cellaring, packaging, warehouse, and office equipment. Including pumps, gearboxes, shafts, bearings, bushings, sprockets, sheaves, belts, and general mechanical equipment and the like.
· Maintain accurate records of time spent with both maintenance and repairs and recording downtimes of equipment.
· Schedule and upkeep of Baxter waste management systems.
· Creates and maintains a shareable tools and parts inventory including ordering. Facilitate future facility improvements and long-term projects/goals with the management team, contractors, and equipment manufacturers.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal direct supervision in a dynamic environment.
· Capability to respond to emergency maintenance on equipment as needed (including weekends) and is the first point of contact on maintenance alarms.
· Execution of essential duties and responsibilities and occasional other duties as assigned.
· Adherence to and clearly document maintenance budget using CMMS software or excel
· Maintain utilities tracking documentation
· Point of contact and facilitator of contractor work as well as clearly communicating scope, expectations, and accountability of work done with documentation.
· Experience with safe use of forklifts and pallet jacks would be preferred but not required.
· Experience in a busy and fast-paced always changing environment.
· Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
· Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining pneumatic systems, air compressors, hydraulic systems, mechanical power, pumps, gearboxes, valves, heat exchangers, and mechanical components.
· Familiarity with plumbing and electric, most cases for diagnostics not complete repairs.
· Experience working on and with double seam technology is preferred but not required.
· Demonstrated experience with computers including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel
· Continued communication with management team and accounting to project and adhere to set budget.
Basic Qualifications and Physical Requirements
· 5 years proven maintenance or relevant experience
· Any applicant for this position must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
· High School Diploma or GED
· Ability to lift 50 pounds and be on your feet for 8 to 10 hours at a time.
· Ability to safely work over, under, and around potentially dangerous and moving machinery in tight spaces
· Ability to withstand various temperatures and weather conditions.
· Must be comfortable working safely at heights while standing on a ladder or in a basket.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
