SUMMARY:
Responsible and accountable for working to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate of and degree holder from a speech-language pathology program accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology
Preferred experience: 12 to 18 months related experience, excluding clinical affiliations required to complete a degree
Certifications: Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
Current Arkansas Speech-Language Pathology license in good standing required
Current CPR certification
Preferred Education: Master’s or Doctoral Degree

This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.

Able to occasionally push and/or pull 150 pounds wheelchair with patient. Occasionally lifts/transfers patients 125 pounds or more with or without assist. Must have a keen sense of hearing and visual acuity with or without correction to respond to critical changing patient situations. Must be able to operate a computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Ability to concentrate for long periods of time.
Work Environment:
Patient care setting: within a hospital environment and in an outpatient setting.
There is potential risk for exposure to communicable diseases and blood or other body fluids.
