About the role, Your Impact
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated IT Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Vice President of IT in overseeing the daily operations of the IT department, ensuring that all systems and applications are running smoothly and efficiently. The IT Operations Manager will provide technical support to staff and oversee IT projects while maintaining a high level of customer service.
What your day-to-day will look like
- Assist the Vice President of IT in overseeing the daily operations of the IT department.
- Manage and provide technical support to staff, ensuring that all systems and applications are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Oversee IT projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.
- Ensure that all IT equipment, hardware, and software are maintained and updated regularly.
- Provide support and troubleshooting for staff members, both remotely and in-person.
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to improve the overall efficiency and security of the department.
- Proactively research emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry and recommend new solutions to improve the department's operations.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that IT solutions meet the needs of the organization.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT-related services.
- Manage and mentor less experienced staff members.
Education/Certification Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
Must-haves, what you will bring
- 10 years of experience in an IT management role, preferably in a corporate setting.
- Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019, Windows 10, and Microsoft Office 365.
- Working knowledge of remote connectivity software such as RDP and Cisco VPN.
- Strong technical skills in hardware and software troubleshooting, network infrastructure, and security.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage projects from start to finish.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. (monitors, networking hardware, etc.).
- Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodmans service area (own transportation).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize competing tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and find innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor staff members.
Compensation: The pay range for this role is $105,000 - $125,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
