Program Overview
This is a part-time position in an afterschool setting, requiring leadership and mentoring of up to 20 youth.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the educational and personal growth of youth.
- Develop and deliver lesson plans that meet school day learning requirements.
- Cultivate strong relationships with youth through collaborative learning experiences.
- Model excellent behavior and maintain high standards as a role model.
Required Qualifications
- An Associate Degree or higher, or 48 college units, or a High School Diploma or GED and Instructional Aide exam certification.
- A valid TB test clearance and willingness to undergo a criminal background check.
- Reliable transportation to El Cerrito during weekdays afternoons, excluding holidays, summers, and weekends.
- A strong commitment to social justice, leadership, and passion for learning and youth development.
- Effective teamwork skills.
