Description :
Join our collaborative, growing Orthopedic service line to serve the community at a facility with 127 beds and Level III Trauma.
This is a new opportunity due to growth and expansion of services.
Work full-time day shifts with on-call duties, shared equitably among providers.
The role involves surgical assistance, emergency department consults, floor rounding, pre and post-operative care, and patient education.
Responsibilities include ordering tests, reviewing labs, prescribing medications, and managing discharge notes.
You will perform comprehensive exams and interpret laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
The position involves formulating treatment plans for orthopedic issues within the scope of practice.
You will exercise judgment on cases requiring consultation with supervising orthopedic surgeons or other healthcare professionals.
Duties include performing various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, as well as assisting in surgeries.
You will conduct hospital rounds and provide primary orthopedic call coverage for patients in the emergency department and inpatient units.
Participation in research studies and quality assurance is encouraged.
You must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, family members, and the healthcare team.
The role requires the ability to work independently and handle stressful or emergent situations effectively.
Physical requirements include frequent standing, walking, bending, and adequate hearing and visual acuity.
You may need to lift up to 75 pounds and communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking.
Experience using Epic electronic medical records is preferred.
