Description :
A hospital is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to support Surgical Services and collaborate with physicians in delivering exceptional patient care.
The facility is the largest on the Southern Coast and has a catchment area of over 320,000.
Candidates may be assigned to Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, or ENT.
Responsibilities include providing necessary procedures, assisting in surgery, and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within scope of practice.
Duties include assisting in room setup and turnover, and performing other tasks as assigned.
The role requires customer-service orientation and ensuring proper sterile techniques at all times in surgery.
Effective verbal and written communication skills are needed.
Maintains confidentiality and can work independently with minimal supervision.
The applicant should have regular, consistent, and punctual attendance at the job location.
Interpersonal skills necessary to work productively with patients, families, healthcare staff, and other departments are essential.
Takes personal responsibility for ongoing educational growth and collaborates with others to ensure continued patient quality.
Basic computer skills are necessary, with periodic use of a personal computer.
Applicants must meet criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges.
