162,131.00 (Minimum) - $245,629.00 (Maximum)
Initial negotiable starting salary will be between $162,131.00 / annually - $204,423.43 / annually, commensurate with education and experience.

This job announcement is to fill a Manager of Civil & Structural Engineering position for the Civil Engineering Division within the Office of Infrastructure Delivery.
The individual selected for this position must demonstrate superior abilities in leadership, self-motivation, and technical acumen as well as extensive staff management and development experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and sound judgment in their area of expertise.
Education, Experience, and Professional License Registration in the State of California as outlined in the Minimum Qualifications would preferably be in the Civil Engineering field.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in the field of Civil Engineering, and will demonstrate significant achievements in the following areas (including but not limited to) :
- Management and delivery of complex engineering design projects in an operating transit environment
- Leadership of engineering design teams and projects
- Innovative and creative problem solving
- Risk-based Asset Management
- Quality Control / Quality Assurance
- Design & Construction of Storm Drain - LID Improvements
- Management of Storm Water System
- Development of Maintenance Procedures
- Agency Processing
- Development of Capital Improvement Plans and Budgets
- Work with Maintenance
- Plan Review & Permit Processing
- Land Development
General workdays and hours are weekdays from 8am-5pm, however, candidate must be able to work on weekends or grave shifts as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
Education : Possession a bachelor's degree in engineering, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience : The equivalent of five (5) years of full-time professional verifiable experience in engineering, project management, or related experience, which must include at least two (2) years of supervisory experience.
Substitution : Additional professional experience as outlined above may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis. A college degree is preferred.
Other Requirements : Registration as a professional engineer in the State of California. Possess a valid California driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record.
Physically able to conduct field inspections and investigations, to walk, stand, or sit for prolonged periods of time.
