Job Description:

The Accounts Payable Manager has 1 direct report and is responsible for the AP function within the company, reporting directly to our VP of Finance and Accounting. In this role, you will oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills and a thorough understanding of GAAP principles. You will play a critical role in maintaining financial integrity while supporting our organization's operational needs. The AP Manager will also take part in completing month-end duties as it pertains to accounts payable, such as prepaids and accruals.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Guide the department to enter and pay bills timely and accurately
  • Manager the full accounts payable cycle, including volume multi-location invoice processing, payment approvals, 3-way match
  • Review work for accuracy
  • Manage the Concur expense reimbursement system
  • Manage and execute Bi-weekly check runs
  • Review W-9 information and file 1099’s
  • Schedule and prepare wires
  • Assist in month-end accruals and allocations
  • Maintain vendor relationships and act as liaison between purchasing and accounting
  • Recommend and implement AP related processes and procedural improvements for department and company
  • Coordinate with company managers to escalate issues and educate on AP procedures/processes.

Experience and Skills:

  • 5 years of Accounts Payable experience, multi-entity or high-volume experience preferred
  • 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience with expense reimbursement systems/Visa system, such as Concur required
  • Experience with ERP system such as Dynamics GP preferred
  • Intermediate Excel experience
  • Ability to work independently or with a team in high volume environment
  • Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines

  • Competitive Pay: Pay range for this role is $85,000 - $105,000. Eligible for discretionary company Profit Sharing program,
  • Hybrid work schedule: This position will work from our Poway office and has the ability to be hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days WFH) after successful completion of 90 days of employment
